One of the most popular CMS, WordPress, was not designed for the cloud era. Running a high demand and highly available WordPress in a cluster can be a complex task.
There are several solutions to this problem and this session will focus on one of them. Using several AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, EFS, CloudFormation and others) and Zend Server, we will create a complex set up running in minutes and scale it up and down by demand.
This session will show how to start your development process from a local small setup and take it to a cluster in the cloud step by step.

I stumbled across WordPress fifteen years ago and it was love at first sight. Since then, I went on to found one of Israel's leading WordPress development agencies, illuminea. More recently I founded Strattic, the "unhosting" platform that publishes WordPress as static and serverless, making it virtually unhackable, infinitely scalable and exponentially faster. Strattic was acquired by Elementor in June 2022, and now I'm Head of WordPress Relations at Elementor.
